Most of us see and connect with the world through our phones. Everyday technology offers us new ways to shop, locate a restaurant, fact check or kick in a few bucks to a friend raising funds for a cause. Steve McLaughlin, Blackbaud Director of Analytics says this year “…we’re really seeing the emergence of mobile from a donor perspective.” He adds, “Research at the end of 2014 showed 10% of online gifts happen on a mobile device.”
Peter Zehren is been a nonprofit executive who has worked in
organizations across the sector raising 27-million dollars for various causes.
He has won awards for stories as a radio News Director and has transitioned new
technologies at every organization he’s worked at for years. Currently he is
working on a Wisconsin Development Professionals Conference through the
Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Peter’s career as a fundraiser in New York includes a broad array
of areas from establishing partnerships with fortune 100 companies and venture
capital investors to working with street teams. In February of 2010, Peter
served as a US Delegate to India where he represented the nonprofit sector in
an exchange of fundraising methods and best practices.
In addition to a degree in Mass Communications-Journalism, he
completed a certificate in philanthropy through NYU SCPS and an intensive MBA
program through the American Management Association. Peter received his
Executive Masters in Public Administration From Baruch College in May of 2013.
He is listed in the 5th
edition of Personalities of America from the American Biographical Institute.
He has performed on stage with a world renowned Symphony Orchestra, danced at
the Minnesota Star Ball and sung at Carnegie Hall.
