Sage MIP Fund Accounting Wins Third Consecutive Campbell Award

Sage Software’s Fund Accounting Software is Most Recommended Among Nonprofit Survey Respondents with Annual Revenues of $5 Million and Above

Sage Software has announced that its Sage MIP Fund Accounting product has received a coveted 2008 Campbell Award from Campbell Rinker, an independent market research firm, for being the most recommended accounting solution among users from nonprofits with annual revenue of $5 million and above, based on the firm’s 2007 Nonprofit Accounting Software Survey of U.S. customers. Campbell Rinker surveyed approximately 2,400 customers of accounting software for nonprofits, from which a selection of qualified product ratings were used in the selection of the awards.

This is Sage MIP Fund Accounting’s third consecutive Campbell Award. In 2005, the product received the highest overall satisfaction score among all products rated in the Nonprofit Accounting Software Survey, and in 2004, it received a Campbell Award for having the Best Expense Tracking capabilities of all rated products. In addition to Sage MIP Fund Accounting, Sage Software’s Peachtree by Sage Premium Accounting, Nonprofit Edition, was recommended frequently by nonprofit staff in the 2007 Nonprofit Accounting Software Survey.

"We are honored to receive such high recognition from our customers," said Krista Endsley, senior vice president and general manager for Sage Software's Nonprofit Solutions. "Sage MIP Fund Accounting is designed to improve the daily lives of nonprofit accounting professionals, while our ultimate goal is to help organizations demonstrate financial and organizational accountability to their boards and constituents. Receiving this third consecutive Campbell Award speaks volumes to our product team’s efforts to deliver a superior fund accounting solution tailored to not only smaller nonprofits, but also larger organizations."

Campbell Rinker’s Nonprofit Accounting Solution Survey gathers information on user satisfaction, pricing preferences, purchasing habits, and organizational scope, and is conducted approximately every two years. A key finding of this most recent survey, conducted online between November and December 2007, is that 10 percent of nonprofits are using online accounting applications (i.e. ASPs, Web sites, etc.) as their primary solution, while the remaining 90 percent of nonprofits are using locally-installed software*. Campbell Rinker thoroughly screens users to ensure results are accurate.

For more than 25 years, Sage MIP Fund Accounting has been helping nonprofit and government organizations of all sizes track and report on multiple funds, across multiple budget periods; plan and manage budgets; maximize grants; and produce accurate, customized reports. Over the years, the software has been honored with numerous awards, including perfect five-star product reviews from top accounting industry publications, such as CPA Technology Advisor.

Campbell Rinker is one of the few firms in the U.S. that specializes in providing market research reports and services to nonprofits and the companies that serve nonprofits. As members of the Council of American Survey Research Organizations and the Marketing Research Association, Campbell Rinker follows a code of ethics designed to set an example for others in the research community.
