Charitable Giving UP and PayPal Participates
Nationally, charitable giving in 2013 was likely to be up 12.5 percent over 2012, according to Atlas of Giving. That’s nearly double the increase from 2011 to 2012 and translates to about $415 billion in contributions. PayPal reports in its findings that mobile giving is on the rise by a factor of 34% year over year. It says that mobile giving is a significant component in this activity.
