G2 Crowd Announces “G2 Gives” to Aid Nonprofit Software Purchasing Decisions

G2 Crowd, a business software review platform, today announced G2 Gives, a new program designed to bring both transparency and confidence to nonprofit software purchasing decisions while donating funds to help participating organizations deliver on their mission.

Nonprofit organizations play a critical role in improving society and impacting the world around us. However, resources are often limited and budgets are constrained – especially when it comes to new technology – hindering their ability to act as efficiently as possible.

In helping bridge the gap between the nonprofit and software communities, G2 Gives donates a portion of its revenue, provides nonprofit professionals with free access to the organization’s patented GridSM reports and provides an opportunity to raise additional funds by initiating nonprofit user reviews.

“With hundreds of options to choose from, we understand how daunting software procurement proceedings can be for nonprofit organizations,” said Tim Handorf, co-founder and CEO, G2 Crowd. “With G2 Gives, we aim to provide transparency into the process from start to finish and help these organizations get back to what they do best – dedicating themselves fully to achieving their mission.”

With G2 Gives, nonprofits of all shapes and sizes will now have the same access to real-time insights based on peer reviews as some of the largest for-profit organizations in the world. Further, with the creation of the program, G2 Crowd proudly builds upon the nonprofit sector advocate marketing work of Andrew Urban, founder of Return on Mission and author of "The Nonprofit Buyer.”

“When tasked with purchasing our first CRM system, we knew what we needed, but had trouble differentiating between each of the available options on the market,” said Jessica Lee, executive director, Shumia Archeological Research and Education Center. “By reviewing insights provided by other nonprofit professionals like myself, I was able to determine what the best solution was for our current and future needs without issue.”
