DC Based Startup Makes Giving Easier for Nonprofits and Donors

Magnify It, a startup based out of 1776, an incubator in Arlington, VA, launched its One Tap Giving service. Founded in 2014, Magnify It allows nonprofits to fulfill their missions by improving their online fundraising campaigns. With Magnify It’s One Tap Giving technology, nonprofits can customize their donate buttons and place them in their emails or on their websites.

“Nonprofits deserve the same level of sophistication as e-commerce,” said CEO, Neel Patel. “With Magnify It’s giving buttons, donors enter their billing payment information once and they never have to do it again. Best of all, our clients can still use their existing vendors.”

65% of organizations require three or more clicks before donors can donate, which leads to abandonment rates of up to 70 percent. Also, 66% of emails are read on tablets and smartphones, while 84% of donation forms are not mobile optimized, according to research by Movable Ink, Dunham+Company, and npEngage.

Currently, the service is free to use by nonprofits, but each donor is asked to make a small tip to Magnify It during the transaction. “The contribution isn't required for you to use the platform, or for their donation to be processed, but we really do appreciate the generosity that keeps this free-to-use platform available to mission-driven organizations.” said Patel.

Magnify It partners with many of the leading online nonprofit payment processors, email service providers, and donor database services. The payment processors include: PayPal, iATSPayments, SafeSave Payments, and Stripe. The email service providers include: MailChimp, Constant Contact, and Vertical Response. The donor databases include: Donor Perfect and Omatic Software. Additionally, Magnify It supports CSV export.
