iModules Partners with Jacobson Consulting Applications to Develop Data Adapter for The Raiser’s Edge® Database Clients

With the help of Jacobson Consulting Applications, Inc. (JCA), iModules Software has recently developed a tool that will facilitate the data exchange process between Encompass and The Raiser’s Edge®.

As more and more administrators are discovering the value of the type of online tools such as those offered by iModules, the need for a consistent and up-to-date exchange between online and offline constituent information is rising. The RE Adapter for Encompass enables this exchange through a straightforward, secure, and reliable method of synchronizing data between clients’ offline Raiser’s Edge® databases and their online Encompass databases.

“As a company dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions to our customers, the partnership with JCA is invaluable,” says Tom DeBacco, Chief Executive Officer of iModules. “With their help, we were able to address the growing challenge of synchronizing data between online and offline databases. The RE Adapter for Encompass will simplify and automate this process, allowing our clients to work more efficiently while building relationships.”

Once configured, the RE Adapter for Encompass works in both directions to retrieve constituent data from members’ profiles in Encompass and automatically produce files ready for import into The Raiser’s Edge®. Additionally, the tool can retrieve profile data from The Raiser’s Edge® database and routinely upload updates to profiles in Encompass via iModules Web Services.

“For JCA, the relationship with iModules demonstrates our on-going commitment to empower non-profits so they may use best-of-breed solutions in the most effective way possible. Our goal was to develop the best product for these institutions’ needs and to have that product operate seamlessly within their systems. We’ve achieved that goal with the RE Adapter for Encompass,” says JCA’s Steve Birnbaum.

Niagara University in New York is one of iModules’ first clients to implement the Connector. Having experienced immediate success with the product, Howard Morgan, Director of Advancement Services at Niagara, explains, “In this day and age when alumni are changing their data in the online community almost daily, this RE Adapter enables us to capture that change in real time; saving staff time, timely human interventions, and allowing us to more efficiently connect with our alumni with current addresses and current e-mails.”
