CDC Software Acquires Information Development Consultants

CDC Software, based in Shanghai and Atlanta, has acquired Information Development Consultants, a Chicago-based company that markets SaaS-based ERP systems for state and local governments and not-for-profit markets. IDC's product will be integrated into the CDC Gomembers enterprise product line and will expand CDC's activityin state and local government markets. In February, CDC acquired Computility, an association management application which offers Web modules and collaboration tools for NFPs.

At the end of 2009, CDC purchased Gomembers, which offers SaaS and on-premise applications for NFP and quasi-governmental organization. The purchase was part of CDC's strategy of acquiring complementary SaaS platforms for the NFP market.

IDC's product line includes 4Gov, an accounting and ERP system for statement local governments, and PlusFund for NFPs. IDC has customers ranging from small communities to national governments, along with a variety of government agencies. Its NFP base includes donor-based organizations and religious groups.
