Sage Nonprofit Online Debuts Not-for-Profit Knowledge Sharing

Sage North America today announced the official launch of the Sage Nonprofit Online Community, a place for the company's nonprofit and government customers, business partners, and employees, and anyone with interest in the not-for-profit sector to connect and share best practices and information online. Sage helps more than 32,000 unique not-for-profit organizations in the U.S. and Canada increase efficiency and more easily manage their operations through the use of technology.

"The Sage Nonprofit Online Community makes it so easy to access support services," said Vickie Ouellette, CR accountant for Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP) in Central Maine, a Sage MIP Fund Accounting customer since 1998. "The forums are my favorite feature, because they give me a chance to Q&A on real issues faced in my day-to-day work. Overall, it's great having more visibility into our Sage product and the people behind it."

To date, the Sage Nonprofit Online Community has more than 1,000 members who are connecting with Sage and each other: asking questions, searching responses, collaborating on solving issues, sharing best practices, and providing feedback on Sage products and services.

"The true value of community sites like this is that they enable idea sharing across a large distribution almost immediately," said Denis Pombriant, managing principal of Beagle Research Group, a five-year-old CRM analyst firm. "This means best practices and novel approaches can be implemented quickly, without waiting for a paper or a conference. It brings a new level of immediacy to everything."

Monitored by Sage employees and available 24/7, the community features a blog, forums, technology tools and services, and industry news, articles, webcasts, and white papers. It also features nonprofit job postings to help organizations fill positions with top talent.

"In addition to helping us stay connected to our customers, the Sage Nonprofit Online Community gives not-for-profits across North America a valuable opportunity to network, share ideas, and seek advice from their most trusted resource - each other," said Krista Endsley, senior vice president and general manager for Sage Nonprofit Solutions. "The community is about more than products and services; it's about organizations collectively growing and learning from each other to accomplish their missions."
