Geronimo! Vacation Rentals for Charity, the only company that simultaneously allows owners to increase booking revenues and be charitable, and Barefoot Technologies, a leading provider of browser-based reservation and asset management systems in the vacation rental industry, today announce a business partnership that will provide Barefoot clients with a way to turn spare weeks into big donations.
"This partnership gets us one step closer to our goal of raising big money for a wide variety of charitable organizations," said Mike Last - founder of Geronimo. "Working with an industry leader like Barefoot is exciting because we know that we can make it easy for property managers to convert spare weeks into big donations." The partnership provides property managers with another incentive; all Geronimo listings are free and property managers still receive their full fee. Barefoot and Geronimo are co-developing an "easy button" so managers can easily donate last minute cancellations. Property owners have the option of donating half or all of the rental proceeds. "Geronimo is a tremendous idea that enables our clients the opportunity to work with a new marketplace and provide charitable giving in a way never presented before," said Jay Gould, owner - Vail Valley Getaway. "Geronimo provides a win for the owners and a win for the charities involved." About Barefoot About Geronimo! Geronimo! is the first company to offer online vacation rentals for charity. Its mission is to convert vacant weeks into big donations. Geronimo brings together generous vacation home owners and renters. Currently, over 1.1 million nonprofits can benefit from weeks donated through the Geronimo! system. Launched in March of 2011, the company is now adding integrated software solutions to provide a "hands off" solution for property managers. In addition, renters often save money on their vacation while being charitable, and property managers increase their bookings and build owner loyalty. | |||
