Data-Systems International (DSI) has announced the launch of CT EssentialTM for Head Start, a preconfigured software solution that automates tedious data management and reporting chores so Head Start staff can spend less time on paperwork and more time teaching children and helping families.
"Head Start programs do critically important work preparing young children for school and helping whole families with a wide variety of services," said Jon Hammarstrom, DSI president. "The ClientTrackTM enterprise data management solution has been extended to include CT Essential for Head Start. This means that existing DSI customers can add Head Start to their program offerings and new clients can create multiprogram solutions that include Head Start. CT Essential for Head Start will meet the unique and specific needs of Head Start programs, simultaneously simplifying both data management and reporting, and because it's part of a broader ClientTrack data management solution, cross program support and data analysis are a snap." Within a given Head Start organization, CT Essential for Head Start supports the entire enrollment and eligibility process; attendance management, class size and waitlists; and tracks students' immunizations, meals, and nutrition. CT Essential for Head Start also incorporates an individual plan module that helps develop both qualitative and quantitative assessments of a child's situation. Additional features include the ability for authorized users to access and view information quickly on a range of relevant topics including the child's family and authorized caretakers, or the results of cognitive and physical screenings. CT Essential for Head Start supports human resource management by tracking and making accessible information on employees and volunteers, including hours worked, competencies, certifications, and experience. The solution can be configured so that staffing information is automatically included in Head Start's annual Program Information Report (PIR). In fact, DSI annually updates CT Essential for Head Start to keep up with changes in the Head Start PIR, as well as simplifying the submission process by enabling direct upload to the Head Start Enterprise System. Initial shipments of CT Essential for Head Start will include support for the recently announced 2010 - 2011 Head Start PIR. CT Essential for Head Start is built upon tested Microsoft® technology and results from more than a decade of work by DSI in the health, human, and social services marketplace. The underlying power of the ClientTrack product, reporting services, and support organization are included with every system. CT Essential for Head Start is available now.
