State-wide representatives of Community Action Partnership and Head Start organizations, including employees, professionals, and community partners will attend the 2011 Annual Spring Training Conference at the Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort and Spa in Myrtle Beach, South CarolinaApril 18 -21. The conference is a chance for the attendees to hear the latest information in their field of service, improve their professional skills, and network with others in their field. Ms. Tiso says of her session at the April training conference, "My presentation is designed to help finance directors learn how to leverage technology for better and more efficient reporting, which helps prevent reporting delinquency and potential loss of funding. I'll show how automating reporting can free up finance directors to focus on the more strategic aspects of operations critical to meeting the organization's mission." The presentation is titled "A CFO's Guide to Reporting Technology." "These are uncertain times for Head Start organizations and Community Action Partnerships with Federal dollars being considered as part of overarching budget cuts," Tiso says. "Better reporting will make organizations more likely to receive funding, and upon receiving funding (usually tagged with more complex and frequent financial reporting requisites) the same technology can be used to address more stringent reporting requirements."
