GMS Accounting & Financial Management System (www.gmsactg.com) is a complete system. The basic package contains tools and features to efficiently handle the daily accounting tasks of a nonprofit organization. It is an integrated system that includes Budget Preparations, Cost Allocation, and Payroll. You can also purchase additional add-ons software is such as Direct Deposit, Report Writer and Accounts Receivable.
In Use This software is designed to handle activity accounting and is not a fund accounting system. It is a grants and contract accounting system that has been created specifically for nonprofit organizations. This software allows you to account, report and my manage budgets for multiple contracts and grants. This software allows a nonprofit organization to simplify everyday operating tasks by simplifying data entry and automating processes.
Technology employed This software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. A pentium IV processor or higher is recommended. For this system you will also need Microsoft Access 2000 or higher. SQL Server 2000 SP4, SQL Server 2005 or SQL 2008 is recommended. Ease of use, configuration, and deployment GMS software is easy to use and the deployment and configuration process will be handled by the professional staff of the GMS Company. They will help you configure and deploy the software for your specific needs. They also do on-site training for you and your staff and there are also online resources available.

The GMS basic access package for 1 to 2 users is $3600, for 3 to 4 users it is $5000 and more than five users is $5750. The SQL server package for 1 to 2 users is $4600, 3 to 4 users is $6000 and five or more users is $6750. Additional add-ons can also be purchased.

My Opinion The GMS Accounting System is designed specifically for nonprofit organizations. The basic system is a complete comprehensive system. It has a robust reporting system that allows you to meet state and federal requirements and create reports that may be required by management. It is user friendly and you can easily navigate through the entire system. I would recommend this accounting software for any type of nonprofit organization. | |||
