Here in Tech Tips, we share all kinds of ideas about how technology can make a difference for nonprofit organizations. But, it's not always about what *I* think. There are an awful lot of people on the Internet who have great ideas and advice. For a change of pace, let's take a look at what some of these folks have to say.
The Case Foundation blog has an interesting post on apps for your mobile phone that are for good causes. Check out Apps for Good . Britt Bravos Have Fun*Do Good blog shares some interesting ideas in Seven Simple Questions for Your Social Media Plan. Yeah, PowerPoint is easy, but is it effective? The Getting Attention blog thinks not, and apparently, so does the Pentagon, according to Avoid Death by PowerPoint Follow the Pentagon to Stronger Connections with Your Base. On her Non-Profit Marketing Blog, Katya Andresen asks Is Your Nonprofit Facebook Page Worth It? Measurements and Analytics Techniques. Want to make sure your organizations emails dont get mistaken for spam? Check out Email Rules to Live By on A Small Change. Of course, these are just a few of the many, many amazing blogs and sites out there that are set up to bolster nonprofit professionals and keep their organizations moving forward. They cover a wide range of topics, from marketing to fundraising and more. While these sites dont necessarily focus on the importance of technology, that doesnt mean they dont have the occasional foray into the topic. Its worth taking a peek from time.
