AccuFund's Latest Upgrade Features Task Scheduler and Payroll Updates

AccuFund, Inc., provider of financial reporting and accounting software for non-profit, municipal and government organizations, today announced the availability of Version 4.04 of the AccuFund Accounting Suite. With this latest release, AccuFund introduces the Task Scheduler module for scheduling reports to run and documents to print at a specific time or on a recurring basis. Version 4.04 also features Payroll enhancements that offer further time savings and convenience, including Internet-based Time Clocks connected directly to Payroll or the Employee Portal.

Part of the AccuFund Accounting Suite core system, Task Scheduler enables tasks such as running a financial report or printing statements to be scheduled for a specified date and time or on a recurring basis such as daily, weekly, or monthly. Both financial reports and standard reports in any module can be scheduled. With Task Scheduler, users can offload the processing of reports to off-peak hours so that AccuFund resources employed by other users are not impacted during peak time.

Among the Payroll and Time Entry enhancements, Time Clocks are now integrated in the AccuFund Accounting Suite and accessed through the Payroll module or Employee Portal. By using a proximity card or a biometric reader that scans fingerprints, employees can login and enter their time and enter job codes, while supervisors can easily review and approve employees' time. Time Clocks improve customers' ability to enable their employees to enter time and relieves payroll personnel from entering data that employees already enter.

The Payroll module also now provides the ability to do automatic accrual at month's end when a payroll period overlaps the next month or year. This allows the payroll staff to save time doing a manual entry and reversal. Payroll additionally enables employees to include a memo on their timesheets explaining the work they did, the specific job they performed or why they worked overtime.

"Running reports and doing payroll are basic tasks, yet because they are also the most inconvenient and time-consuming, our customers look to us to help make those tasks simpler," stated Peter Stam, president of AccuFund, Inc. "As always, we keep making enhancements to the AccuFund Accounting Suite that will empower our users to do their jobs as effortlessly as possible, giving them more time to focus on more important objectives such as following their mission or meeting clients' needs."

The AccuFund Accounting Suite 4.04 also has a new Accounts Receivable feature added in the Cash Receipts module that allows a payment to an invoice to be applied in full or on a line item basis. Any remaining line items on the invoice would then be included in a new invoice. This feature benefits social service agencies with state contracts that generally pay for specific services or clients at a time.

Version 4.04 of the AccuFund Accounting Suite features enhancements to several other key modules, including Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Financial Reports, Grants Management, and Utility Billing.

Availability
The AccuFund Accounting Suite Version 4.04 is available in both Standard and Professional editions.  Prices start at $2,995.00 and $6,595.00, respectively.
