According to the Non-profit Quarterly, for crowdfunding campaigns using phrases which indicate a lack of confidence such as ‘not even’ or ‘not been able’ can sabotage your fundraising efforts. To encourage people to give positive language like ‘given the chance’ and ‘we can afford’.
