Amazon Web Services Launches Annual Grant Program for Nonprofits

Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), an Amazon.com company, announced the launch of the 2021 Imagine Grant Program, a public grant opportunity open to registered 501(c) nonprofit organizations in the U.S. that are using technology to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. Application instructions are available to download today and submissions are due by June 30, 2021.

According to Mashable, Venmo has stopped some charitable donations for aid groups helping out in the aftermath of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. 

The escalating violence in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has caused donations to pour in for aid groups. But some donations on Venmo are getting stalled and even stopped.

What Nonprofits Do With Cryptocurrency

According to DevEx, nonprofits are finding ways to deal with cryptocurrency donations.

Vitalik Buterin, a co-founder of Ethereum, demonstrated the scale that’s possible in cryptocurrency philanthropy when he donated 50 trillion tokens — then worth $1.2 billion — to India’s Crypto Covid Relief Fund last week.
