Ocean Nonprofit Selling Pricey Sunglasses

Ocean Cleanup, a nonprofit who benefited from tech created during Microsoft’s 2018 hackathon, is selling $200 sunglasses made from recycled ocean plastic, reports Business Insider.
These $200 sunglasses from The Ocean Cleanup come with an interesting backstory: they're made of recycled plastic from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a concentration of waste that takes up 617,000 square miles in the Pacific Ocean.

UHSM (Unite Health Share Ministries), a faith-based health care nonprofit founded on Christian beliefs and values, today announced a partnership with Cancer Kinship, a nonprofit which seeks to help cancer patients and their loved ones adjust to their diagnosis and treatment. The partnership will broaden the help and resources UHSM provides to its cancer patients, now with free access to help and support from Cancer Kinship’s network of support groups, survivorship empowerment programs, and mentoring for patients.

A Japanese teen has started a nonprofit that aims to prevent teen suicide using text messaging, reports the Associated Press.
Suicides are on the rise among Japanese teens and that worries 21-year-old Koki Ozora, who grew up depressed and lonely. His nonprofit “Anata no Ibasho,” or “A Place for You,” is run entirely by volunteers.
