Nonprofits Can Perform Form Testing, Strengthen E-Advocacy

Sage North America today announced several major enhancements to Sage Fundraising Online, its flexible fundraising and event registration connected service that helps nonprofits increase giving, participation, and overall support online. A nonprofit can use Sage Fundraising Online to create and embed donation, event registration, and personalized fundraising forms anywhere on the web to allow donors and participants to fundraise on their organization's behalf.

Major new Sage Fundraising Online features include: form testing tools; advocacy configuration and management capabilities; and improved capabilities for enabling organizations as advocates. Through March 22, Sage is exhibiting Sage Fundraising Online and several of its other products for not-for-profits in booth #100 at the 48th Association of Fundraising Professional (AFP) International Conference on Fundraising, being held in Chicago.

Sage Fundraising Online users can now allow administrators to perform testing with multiple forms to help them determine the effectiveness of alternative messaging, donation ask amounts, or additional questions. Form testing enables organizations to discover which messages result in higher conversion rates, so they can put more focus on them. Administrators can add channel IDs for additional form testing, as well (e.g. A/B/C testing, A/B/C/D testing).

While advocacy configuration has been available in every Sage Fundraising Online campaign, users can now define the basics of a fundraising commitment for a campaign with commitment creation forms, form personalization, receipt customization, and advocate notification. In addition, users can now customize the fundraising commitment to suit their needs.

In addition to individual advocacy, Sage Fundraising Online supports adding organizations as fundraising advocates. The configuration options on Sage Fundraising Online's new Fundraising Commitment paths have been expanded to provide improved customization and support more diverse advocacy programs.

Other features now built into Sage Fundraising Online:

  • Campaign and form overview screens
  • Custom section labels for individual donation or registration forms
  • Goal tracking
  • Widget management
  • Improved user interface and navigation
  • Improved question creation and management tools

What Sage Fundraising Online Users Say

Tamara Fox, AAHA Helping Pets Fund Administrator for the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Foundation in Lakewood, Colo., said: "Sage Fundraising Online gives us more fundraising options. In previous years, we scaled back our events, because they were too complicated, requiring us to track various kinds of information and the resulting donations. With Sage Fundraising Online, we can once again plan special campaigns and events. The service's reporting is excellent, and the interface is quite intuitive and user-friendly. We're even exploring opportunities we've never considered before."

Heather Scott, database and administration supervisor for Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, said: "Sage Fundraising Online allows us to do all online fundraising in-house, plus gives me the ability to instantly make changes and updates to our events. I particularly love being able to add cash and cheque amounts to our donors' pledges as soon as I receive money on their behalf. And, our advocates are very happy to receive email messages as soon as people make donations on their behalves."
