Innovation in the Workplace Contest

TribeHR Corp., a leading social human resources platform for small and medium business, and Impact99, organizers of the first Canadian social media and HR conference, today announced the Innovate for Impact contest. The contest, which is open to nonprofit organizations in Canada and the U.S., is designed to showcase and share the innovation that takes place in today's nonprofit workplace.  Innovate for Impact is sponsored by the HR Council for the Nonprofit Sector and Capacity Waterloo Region.

"In today's economic climate, companies have to be resourceful," said Joseph Fung, co-founder and chief executive officer of TribeHR. "The nonprofit sector has a long track record of collaborating on strategic initiatives, balancing finite budgets, empowering team members and inspiring passion within their organizations. Our goal is to shine a light on some of the tools, processes and out-of-the-box thinking that they employ, and in the process gather valuable lessons from which other businesses can learn.

Four contest winners will be selected, with two awards announced prior to each Impact99 event. One award will be made on September 29, and another other on October 31. Winners will each receive:

o   A one-year subscription to the TribeHR software, a social human resources management solution. The package serves up to 100 employees.

o   Admission to Impact99, a social media and HR conference that will take place in two Canadian cities this fall, including: October 6 at Quest University in Squamish, BC, and November 7 at (TBD) in Toronto, ON. Anyone who submits an application is eligible for a 10% discount on admission to the conference.

"Both our conference and contest are designed to help employers and employees imagine new ways to make their organizations more productive, engaged and responsive," said Christine McLeod, show organizer of Impact99. "One proven way to unlock new ideas is to tap into the brilliance within each workplace community to explore the environment, behavior and personality that make up its culture. Nowhere is there more innovation underway than in the nonprofit sector."

To submit an online entry, visit tribehr.com/impactcontest. There is no fee to enter. Applicants will be asked to describe why their nonprofit should be considered the most innovative organization and how utilizing social HR tools might help them succeed even more. For Twitter, use the hashtag #HR4NP to ask questions or connect with other nonprofit organizations.
