EffectiveUI Spearheads Online Reporting for Water For People

EffectiveUI, Inc., a leading user experience (UX) agency, partnered with Water For People, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to providing access to improved water and sanitation systems and services in developing countries, to create a reporting platform as part of its Re-imagine Reporting initiative. Water For People's CEO, Ned Breslin, will demonstrate a prototype of the online reporting platform at the "Judge Us By Our Outcomes" session during World Water Week in Stockholm on August 28.

The reporting platform, which will be available in early 2013, is a completely new and transparent way for Water for People to manage data and prove its efficacy to their stakeholders. Traditionally, nonprofit reporting has focused solely on financial data. This online, interactive platform will also provide a comprehensive view into programmatic data, such as field activities and results, offering Water For People the opportunity to evaluate and analyze these metrics in order to learn and further improve its efforts.

"EffectiveUI took a complicated set of problems and delivered a solution that addresses one of our key challenges as a nonprofit - how to integrate complex reporting metrics so we can see the breadth and causes of our programs' successes and challenges. Key stakeholders will, in turn, gain an easy-to-understand and transparent visual reporting platform," said Ned Breslin, CEO, Water For People. "The reporting platform was designed and developed by EffectiveUI specifically for our needs and goals. We believe this tool could benefit nonprofits far and wide, and could be easily extended to other organizations seeking to achieve better understanding of their programs."

EffectiveUI is designing and developing the online reporting platform for Water For People donors, staff, partners and communities to easily and intuitively interact with data. Using a visually compelling, storytelling-style approach to reporting, the resulting platform will allow donors to ensure their money is being used effectively while providing a comprehensive view of field results over time.

"We commend Water For People for their forward thinking and commitment to the process of getting critical data into the hands of their donors and stakeholders in a visually engaging and thought-provoking way," said Anthony Franco, President and Founder, EffectiveUI. "Water For People's thought leadership in the philanthropic space and pioneering work in supporting water systems and services worldwide is inspirational to their constituents and other nonprofits alike."

The ambitious goal of the Re-imagine Reporting initiative was made possible with the financial support of the Case Foundation and the technical expertise of EffectiveUI.
