CRM for Nonprofits

Virtuous Software, the nonprofit CRM helping charities build better relationships with donors and create more good in the world, today announced it has raised $700,000 in a seed funding round. The funding will be reinvested into product development and growth of the business, which aims to help charitable  organizations leverage software to grow their donor support, inspire action, and create personal connections with supporters and communities.

“Nonprofits have unique marketing and relationship development needs and the current tools available to them are not designed for generosity,” said Gabe Cooper, CEO of Virtuous Software. “We’ve worked with non-profits for nearly 15 years and created Virtuous Software to help fill that need. These hardworking organizations need a technology platform designed from the ground up to help them accomplishment their mission and our software helps these charities create and foster personal relationships based on the passions or skills of each donor or volunteer.”

The need for high-performing nonprofits is greater today than ever. Organizations not only have to reach potential donors, but also work to build those relationships and encourage giving, all while keeping their overhead costs low and relentlessly pursuing their mission. Current donor management systems are archaic and outdated, and do little to support the needs of the modern nonprofit. Virtuous Software allows charities to create personal relationships based on the passions and skills of each donor or volunteer.

“We know that Saint Joseph the Worker staff can only manage 100 personal relationships a piece on average. That’s it,” said Mike Slominski, Saint Joseph the Worker board president and Virtuous customer. Saint Joseph the Worker helps homeless and disadvantaged individuals return to the workforce and become self-sufficient, productive members of society. “Virtuous helps us solve this problem by scaling and personalizing our donor relationships. The Virtuous system is designed to help us grow giving and reduce costs by building a strong base of advocates for our cause.”

With Virtuous, nonprofits can tailor their messages to individual donors, keep track of their donations, track donors both by their passion or geographic location, and even use big data analytics to see which relationships need more attention.

“Charities don’t deserve to use outdated technology,” continued Cooper. “These organizations are solving some the world’s toughest problems - and it’s critical that they operate efficiently and maintain transparent relationships with their givers. We built Virtuous to help givers and charities link arms to create measurable good in the world.”
