Convio Customers Reach $1 Billion Raised Online in 2010

Convio, Inc. (NASDAQ: CNVO) has announced that the more than 1,300 nonprofit organizations using Convio's integrated fundraising software have raised $1 billion online in 2010. The $1 billion in funds raised represents a 64 percent increase over the $607.7 million raised in the same period last year.

"We congratulate our clients for reaching this impressive milestone," said Gene Austin, chief executive officer for Convio. "Nonprofit organizations of all shapes and sizes have created extraordinary levels of social, cultural and political impact and are playing an increasingly important role in shaping our world. We are proud to know that they are using our software and services to set the standard for integrating online fundraising and marketing with traditional fundraising and communication's channels to better engage and communicate with donors, volunteers and other constituents."

Innovative Software to Drive Results
All of Convio's fundraising software is built on a multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service architecture designed specifically for the needs of the nonprofit sector. The company's software is revolutionizing the way nonprofits reach, engage and communicate with donors. Convio provides nonprofits with an integrated, on-demand online marketing, fundraising and advocacy suite to power and support their efforts to engage constituents in giving and advocacy, as well as support traditional marketing and communications.

The company also provides Convio Common Ground. Designed to be simple and flexible, Common Ground is used by hundreds of organizations as their primary constituent relationship management (CRM) system, to build and manage relationships with donors, volunteers and other constituents across all channels, whether offline or online. Common Ground is built on the Force.com platform from salesforce.com. Common Ground provides nonprofit organizations with several major upgrades each year that deliver the latest innovation and product enhancements without the hassles, headaches and costs of traditional software upgrades and maintenance.

Added Austin, "Our platforms provide nonprofits with best-in-class software to support their needs and our open architecture allows organizations to integrate with new and emerging technologies such as mobile applications and social networks to more easily reach and manage the many audiences and relationships today's nonprofits needs to fulfill their mission."

Peer-to-Peer and Event Fundraising Play Key Role in $1B Milestone
Convio TeamRaiserTM is used to power online registration, fundraising and participant communications for many of North America's premier participant-led fundraising events. Using TeamRaiser, organizations are able to empower volunteer/participant fundraisers to more simply and easily create and maintain their own fundraising web sites and use email and social media such as Facebook and Twitter to ask family and friends to support their participation by donating to the cause.

"With more relationships and means of communicating at their disposal than ever before, today's nonprofit needs software and a partner that helps them execute campaigns that integrate online, direct mail and other fundraising and marketing channels," explained Austin. "We are honored to partner with these amazing organizations to support the growth of the online channel as well as the integration of traditional direct mail and new emerging channels with innovative software and services that drive fundraising results."
