Facebook Chief Announces Charitable Giving Plan

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s founder and chief executive, has announced his intention to give away 99 percent of his Facebook shares to charity. The holdings worth an estimated $45 billion will be distributed to various charities throughout Zuckerberg’s lifetime.

Software Company Encourages Employees to Donate Time

Enterprise software company Atlassian wants its employees to give back to their community, reports Business Insider. To help them do this the company offers full-time employees five days of paid leave a year so they can volunteer at their favorite charitable organization.
