Rounding Up at the Checkout Works

According to The Cause Marketing Forum rounding up for charity really does work. The Forum analyzed 63 campaigns that encouraged buyers to round up at check out for a charity. The campaigns each raised more than $1 million in 2012, for a combined total of more than $358 million raised that year. The top three campaigns were run by Ebay, Walmart and McDonald’s.

Facebook Donation Increases In Value

Mark Zuckerberg’s donation of 18 million shares of Facebook stock to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation is turning out to be an extremely generous donation, reports The Chronicle of Philanthropy. A nearly 52-percent increase in Facebook’s stock price since December now has the donation valued at $738-million, originally it was worth $500 million.
